Tamang Heritage Trail Trek

The Tamang Heritage Trail Trek is a mesmerizing trek close to Kathmandu offering trekkers a peek into the rural lifestyle of the indigenous Tamang people. This short and easy trek was introduced to uplift the communities living there. This trek is located between the Langtang and Ganesh Himal Range. Despite being linked with the popular Langtang trail, only a few trekkers travel there. The Tamang Heritage Trail Trek offers amazing mountain scenery through beautiful forests, monasteries, mani walls, terraced fields, chortens, and traditional Tamang villages. Trekkers can experience and explore the unique culture, tradition, and lifestyle of the Tamang people in depth by having close interaction with the local people. Taking a bath in a natural hot spring at Tatopani (Tatopani means hot water in Nepali) and spending a night at Briddim in local people’s homes will make this trek even more memorable. The Tamang communities of this area are rich in culture and tradition and have remained relatively unspoiled & unchanged for a long time. The 11-day Tamang Heritage Trail Trek starts and ends at Syabrubesi, a starting point of the famous Langtang Valley. Our itineraries are flexible and can be customized according to your preference. Just leave us a message and we’ll help you create the perfect one.
